  • Infinite moneyEnter a hotel, nightclub, shop, etc. that you own. Smash the cash register and collect the money. Walk out the door, then walk back in. The cash register should be fixed. You can repeat the process as many times as desired. It is a slow way of getting money, but sometimes you will get $10,000.
  • DillingerPurchase the third upgrade for Tommy Gun.
  • Street SweeperPurchase the third upgrade for Shotgun.
  • Infinite ammunition and $1 millionReach the “Don Of New York City” rank at a 91.5% game completion to get one million dollars and unlimited ammunition for all of your guns only. Bombs, dynamite, and Molotov Cocktails are not unlimited, and melee weapons can still wear out. To become the Don, you must take over all businesses and rackets, then complete the contracts on the other families top Bosses.
  • No heat when stealing carsReach the “Underboss” rank to have no heat when stealing a parked car.
  • Easier drivingWhile driving, honk your horn constantly by clicking the Left Analog-stick to send other cars to the side of the road. Additionally, go to a police station and bribe the police chief. You can then steal the police car without any trouble. Click the Left Analog-stick to turn on the siren. Cars will now move out of your way.
  • Easier car chasesWhen you are being chased by enemies in a car, let them drive up on your side. Usually they will come up near your rear on your left or right. Then, look ahead and lure them into an accident. Usually they will smash into something like oncoming traffic or a wall if timed correctly. They will eventually come back and catch up to you, but if you keep doing this they will eventually blow themselves up (because you cannot shoot out your car at them).
  • Easier special killsIn missions where you have to kill an important figure in a certain way (such as pushing them off a roof or into a furnace), you can do this easier by luring the enemy over to the hazard you must use to kill them before fighting with them. Just avoid them and run over to the hazard. They will come over to you. Beat them up a little, but do not kill them completely. Then, grab them by holding L + R, and swing them so they have their back to the hazard. Then, push forward with the Analog-sticks to shove them to their death.
  • Losing police quicklyIf you commit a lot of damage and/or kill a lot of people, you will get wanted stars. Once you get enough stars, the police will chase and shoot you. To lose them, just move to a different area and all of your stars will immediately go away.
  • Shooting enemies behind cover easierWhen you are locked onto an enemy who is hiding behind a crate or low object, keep locking on but use the Right Analog-stick to move the crosshair to a part of their body that is sometimes sticking out, like their head or arm. This will help you kill them easier.
  • Avoid getting shotWhen you are getting shot by another family or cop, grab someone nearby and use them as a shield. By doing this, you will not get hurt while being shot.
  • AmmunitionAll the safe houses that you pay for have ammo caches. When low on ammunition or health, you can go into these houses and restock. They are the orange houses on the map, and most are in hotels.
  • Easy moneyTo get more money, take over as many businesses, warehouses, and rackets as possible before completing missions. By doing this you will get much more on payday, and money for important weapon upgrades.

To stop your money from going into some racket that will not pay off later, get the pressure up on the person you would normally buy out and he will instead pay you.

In missions where you raid an enemy gang’s operation (like a supplier or storefront racket), search the interior after completing the main objective for hidden stashes of money and ammunition. Most back rooms, closets, and rooftops contain hidden moneybags or weapon stashes.

Go to the police station in Brooklyn and bribe the chief, then rob the bank. When you get outside no one will shoot or chase you. Note: When bribing the chief make sure you have no heat.

To get easy money and respect, go to the Molotov Cocktail seller in Midtown. Look for hobos walking around, then shoot them. You will get a good amount of respect and money, but no heat.

When walking around the city, kill the homeless men you see from time to time. The majority of the time they will have $5,500 and you will get no heat.

Get on the freeway and about every ten seconds a warehouse truck should appear. Stop your car in front of it, get out, cause some damage, kill the bagmen, take the money, and keep driving. You can accumulate a lot of money quickly. Then, return to your safe house and deposit the money.

After you own the compounds, go to New Jersey. It is easier to travel through the Holland Tunnel. Go to the Stracci compound, then drive into the container park. Go far behind, where you will see a lot of containers. Step out, then you will see a lot of Stracci soldiers. Kill all of them, then go in to the maze. At the back, there are two boxes and another group of Straccis. Break open the box to find approximately $120,000. Then, run as fast as you can to your car before another bunch of Straccis appear. If they do appear, kill them all. In total you will get around $125,000. Note: You will need a lot of ammunition. They can be as strong as the sewer system bell-boys.

Different families have different incomes; the richest family is the Barzini (green) family followed by the Cuneo (red) family. The businesses that you take from these families pay out a lot more than the other two. Also, when you are taking over their business, do not forget to pick up the money they drop. When a Barzini (green) family member is killed, you can pick up at least $200 per person. However, when you take money from a Tattaglia (brown) family member, you will only get $15.

Enter the sewer system and find a crate containing money, which is guarded by a group of heavily armed bell-boys. The entrance to the sewer system is directly south of the westernmost Tattaglia warehouse on the Hell’s Kitchen Loop.

  • Extorting businessesIf you are having trouble extorting business owners, try destroying some of their property and/or hold a gun to their face. For example, when you are trying to take over Good Eats in Brooklyn, you can hold a gun to the man’s face then reholster the gun and extort. If he refuses, simply draw your gun again, lock on, and hold it. Keep doing this until he caves in. Do not forget to reholster your gun to avoid accidentally shooting him. In another example, when you are trying to extort money from the hotel owner in Brooklyn, hold a gun to him twice, break the downstairs cupboard, then finally blow his safe before you beat him into submission. Always buy available rackets first. Take a trip around to either buy another racket or go around the block. Do not attack until you visit again, and instead of enemy soldiers you will find all your soldiers. By doing this you do not have to fight a bunch of enemies and get your vendetta up.

If you have not taken over all the businesses and rackets, wait until you have reached the “Don Of New York City” rank. You will be able to take over anything without having to smash anything up or “convince” the person that it is a good idea; they will just say “Yes” immediately.

  • Robbing banksDepending on the type of bank will determine the easiest way it can be robbed. The type with the three guards and one room is by far the easiest, and should be robbed as often as possible. Use the following trick to rob it without being chased or even getting past two shields. First, bribe the cop outside. Then, go into the bank and choke the first guard by the door. Next, go into the vault area and start strangling the guard on the left. The other guard will come and attack you, but he will not shoot. He will only hit you with his billy club. Remember to strangle the man on the left first because he tends to start shooting with his shotgun if you attack the other guard. If you are robbing the big bank, start the same way by bribing the cop outside. Then, go in and immediately strangle the guards in the main room. Hurry down to the vault and strangle the two guards there. Open the door and blow the vault. Three or four guards will attack you as you flee the vault. Get close to them and shoot them with your Tommy gun to perform an instant execution. After you shoot them, run up the stairs and move to the right. Then, take an immediate right to leave the building where the car is always parked. Get in the car quickly because you will be shot at when outside. Take off and you should not be chased once you hit the streets. After any bank robbery you must go to your hangout to get the money. The best bank to rob is the midtown bank, close to the apartment that the Corleone’s give you after you save Michael. You wll get $50,000 there.
  • SafesYou must blow up all safes to become Don Of New York City. Blow up all the safes when you are taking over businesses that have one. By doing this you will not have to search for safes after you completed most of the missions. Also, you will get an money, 1,000 Respect, and dynamite by blowing them up.
  • Taking over compoundsA good way to take over a compound is to kill everyone from afar then work your way in. The enemies will not respawn as long as you do not leave the area (about one city block). Just hide behind things by crouching, then shoot around corners to get kills. It is also recommended that you upgrade at least two of the pistols (preferably the pistol or sawn off magnum, for quicker shooting).

To take over a compound, equip all of your guns with ammunition, or use a powerful gun to kill other gangsters and take their gun. You should have cover at all times. Note: When behind the bushes to the left of the entrance they can shoot you through the bushes. Once inside, do the same thing and always have cover. Then, run downstairs. In the back house there are two men. One is behind a box and there is another behind a pillar. After those two are dead, set the time bomb (not dynamite). If needed, stay in the basement and die, then drive back and repeat on the other house.

When you are ready to take over a compound, the Tattaglias in northeast Brooklyn is recommended because they may be the weakest family in New York, but that does not mean they are going to be very simple to defeat either. Bring some bombs along and blow up the support pillars in the basements. You may start a mob war, but if you are successful you will have a new safe house with a group of guards.

When trying to take over a compound, use your car to run people over. Then, get out and use it as a shield. Once you are in the yard, kill any enemies. Then if you have a lot of ammunition, take one step into the house and shoot at the floor or person. The enemies should step out as you hide. Shoot them, then continue into the room with the couches. Someone could be hiding behind the couch. Run to the basement and clear it, then plant a bomb. Do the same in the other house.

Stay far away form the gang members guarding the business or compound, enough so that you cannot lock on to them. If you pick them off from a far range, they will not shoot back. You can clear the area without getting shot.

  • Assaulting warehousesBefore going on a warehouse assault have these items: pistol (full ammunition), Tommy gun (full ammunition), shotgun (full ammunition), magnum (full ammunition), molotovs (6), and about $25,000. When going to a warehouse, try to blow up the roadblocks. After that, stand there and shoot at oncoming gangsters with your pistol (headshots are essential). Then, go in to the warehouse area. Stand behind boxes and shoot the enemies with the pistol or magnum (again with headshots). Once you enter the warehouse, have either your shotgun or Tommy gun ready. Most enemies will have shotguns and Tommy guns. When you kill them, search for the owner. He will have puppeteer hands. Buy him out. Do not hit or injure him or you will not be able to buy him out and will have to use pressure. More than likely you will have also started a mob war. Do not bother looking for bombing business. Instead, check the map for the nearest FBI agent and bribe him. You may lose $3,000, but it is less risky. You will now have a warehouse and won a mob war at the same time.
  • Getting past barricades easilyWhen you go to a hub, warehouse, or compound with people and cars blocking your way, get a truck and run into the cars and people until it catches on fire. Then, finish off the other people that are still alive.

When you go to a hub, warehouse, or compound with people and cars blocking your way, stand close enough that you can lock-on to a person. Take either dynamite or a Molotov Cocktail and throw it. It will blow up the cars next to the people. Continue doing this until you have reached the hub, warehouse, or compound.

  • Free pistol in “The Alley” missionAfter you beat up the men and are told to locate your safehouse, follow the Don’s enforcer out of the alley and turn left. Walk down a short distance to the next alley on your left. There will be a thug standing there, staring at you. He will not attack, but if you beat him up he will drop a pistol, which is good for a first gun. You can use the pistol to get through the next few missions easier (before you are given a more powerfu gun by the mob).
  • Hidden money in “Death To The Traitor” missionAfter placing the bomb in the upstairs of the bar, an enemy will suddenly open up the previously locked door at the top of the stairs. Quickly run into the hallway to find a massive stash of money bags. Do this quickly by sprinting, as you will not have much time to run downstairs and leave before the bomb explodes. Do not bother trying to open the second door in the hallway, because it is locked.
  • “The Don Is Dead” missionBefore starting this mission, break the windows in the barber shop. This will allow for easy shooting once the Don is shot. The recommended gun for this and any other close range shooting mission is the magnum.
  • Recommended weaponsDo not waste money on safe houses. You can make it just fine with the ones you get in the story. Instead, use your money for clothing and weapons. All the best weapons cost a lot but are well worth it. The Saturday Night Special is a better revolver and costs $75,000. The Assassin’s Pistol is better gun and costs about $200,000. The Python is a better magnum and costs $250,000. The Dillinger is a machine gun and costs $450,000. Finally, the Street Sweeper, which works like a shotgun, costs $500,000 and will kill most people in one shot.

The pistol at level 3 works like a semi-automatic gun. It carries fourteen bullets and has more firepower. It is great for taking over businesses. The shotgun at level 3 has more ammunition, more firepower, and is great for taking over warehouses, etc. Prioritize weapons upgrades before safehouse buying. One house in each city is fine at the start. However, you will have to buy them all in the end.

  • Recommended upgrade priority
Health: The more health, the better.

Streetsmarts: Prolong the victims breaking point (and by doing so, increasing your weekly income earnings). Remember to always try to buy them out first.

Fighting: Increase you negotiation pressure by 10% for each upgrade.

Speed: Not so essential. Only faster reloading is interesting here.

Shooting: For better aiming speed and precision but not essential for taking over businesses.

  • Real gun namesAll the guns in the game are based on actual firearms. The following is a list of the guns in the game and their closest real-life equivalents:
      .38 Snub-Nose: Colt Detective .38 Special / Smith & Wesson M & P 2 in revolver
      Pistol: Colt M1911A1 semi-auto .45 pistol
Magnum: Smith & Wesson Model 10 revolver in .357
      Long-barrel Shotgun: Remington 870 pump-action shotgun
      Tommy Gun: Thompson M1921 / 1928 sub-machine gun in .45
  • Marlon Brando’s last appearancePlay the mission when you go to the hospital to protect the Don. After you kill the first assassin and Michael Corleone tells you to go to the basement, go foward and make a left. You should see a door with Michael Corleone talking to Vito Corleone while he is in the hospital bed. Listen to the conversation carefully. This is the real Marlon Brando talking, recorded while he was hospitalized.
  • Movie and television referencesThere is a man with red hair, a mustache, and a fedora hat who is named Edward Rooney (from Ferris Buellers Day Off) in Little Italy. There is a man with black-gray hair named Mike Brady (from The Brady Bunch) in Midtown. There is a blonde woman walking around in a black dress named Pamela Anderson in Midtown.

    preview:The Simpsons Game

One more game made to coincide with the official movie DVD release date, the Simpons Game isset to be

released on multiple consoles by EA on October 30th. in the game, the Simpsons find out that their likenesses

have been liscensed to appear in a variety of videogames. This, ofcourse, is not going to be taken down lighty as

the Simpsons clan decide to go on an adventure taking them through a series of movie and videogame spoofs.

One of these spoofs is called Neverquest, which is a hilarious spoof done on fansasy based games and stars

Marge (with Maggie in tow) and Homer. Once you enter the world of Neverquest, you meet the two-headed

dragon of Patty and Slema destroying a town full of halflings, who all seem to resemble Ralph Wiggum.

Neverquest is  shown as a series of battles with your ultimate goal being to kill off Homer’s sister-in-laws. It’s a

dream come true for Homer and anyone who’s been stuck in line at the DMV.

The level has many eloquent quirks and nitbits here and there that would keep reminding you this is a Simpsons

title, and this alone would be enough to keep fans playing till the wee hours of the morning. The attacks are

standard Simpsons style, with changes to match the mood of the fantasy based style of the game. This particular

level ends with a spoof on Joust, with the Patty/Selma hydra acting as the traditional, impossible-to-kill phoenix

plastered across the screen, Homer can turn into a ball of gas and float Joust-style into the air. Marge, however,

has little to do with battles such as these, which can be awkward and confusing when playing co-op.

This Simpsons title, though cant be said is the best yet, is definitly in one of the top 5, and as is traditional with

the Simpsons, is packed with cough gags and here and there and a general sense of humour one is

    accustomed to concerning such titles.

    Review:The Sims-Bon Voyage(PC)

Another six months gone and another expansion for the Sims 2 has been released. Bon Voyage is the sixth expansion for The Sims 2, not counting Stuff Packs, and the 13th overall expansion since Maxis unleashed this digital drug on us years ago. Although the several expansionsh ave had their share of ups and downs, there is always a buzz of excitment every time a new one comes out.

Bon Voyage adds much to the family dynamic in the game, which has been its basis from the start (almost). Obviously being most attractive to role-players and other hardcore players, the new expansion aloows whole families to go onto vacations, upping their relationships with each other,as always, the best bit being that other family affairs are put on hold while the Sims party it out on vacation! This means your characters job performance, or grades, relationships etc. will not be affected while they are on vacation, providing a major plus point for hardcore gamers.

The selling point of Bon Voyage is that, basicallym you can do a lot on vacations, there are sights to see and secrets to discover, reltionships to be built and broken or just plain relaxation for your sims. If yo however, you are given a checklist, of sorts, to keep your sim busy, as in, a single sim can have a total of 45 objectives, and if you manage to complete those, (it will take you atleast 3 vacations to do so), you will reviece a reward for it.

Although sounds and graphics havent changed much, this shouldnt put off fans of the game as the current interface is, to say the least, elegant and to-the-point, and to change it would feel like the game having had a makeover. For sims fanatics, there is much to discover in this expansion to keep you hooked on hours.

    Preview:Tabula Rosa(closed beta version)

Following a long list of delays in development, Richard Garriots Tabula Rasa is approaching its release date with fans coutning down the days. The game is currently available only as a closed beta version, so those who have managed to play the 12 hour version will have gone through the games alien zones, from imaginative creator of WoW omes new alien zones ranging from “Wilderness” to “Divide”.

Once you have completed the in-game tutorial you find yourself at a forward base bustling with activity and attatched to a friendly alien complex. From here one you get the first few quests that steadily introduce you to the game, with the traditional arsenal of nohing but a rifle and a certain ability to throw lightening as showni n the tutorial. The basic mechanics of the match match those of a MMORPG completely, so fans of the genre will find themselves hooked, be it onto a beta version. You are to go out on youer quests into the wilderness, hunt and relatively gain experience, money and useful items for future use in the game.

Combat mechanics are simpler then those in WoW, giving the game a feel of a first-person shooter then an RPG. Pressing numbers one to five changes your selected weapon, six to 10 your selected ability–and you can reorder them by simply dragging and dropping, either within the selection tray or your inventory. Attacking your opponent is not far away: left for your weapon, right for ability. Basic command is to hover your cursor over an enemy to acquire them, hence using the information bar that pops up displaying their health, shield levels, and other useful information effectively; you are allowed to either fire manually or press tab to lock on, then open fire with either your weapons or an offensive ability. The target information window also includes a precise range indicator which incorporates graphical representation of the optimum range for your selected weapon.

Your secondary skills allow u to have both the ability to sprint as well as a long-range lightning attack, but further along the game you gather more as you specialise and level up. The secondary ability tray is also used to keep useful items in the heat of battle, such as grenades and medical kits, so when you’ve crunching down the buttons thye’re the right ones. The beta version has provided enough feedback for the developers to,atleast, have the game finished and released soon enough so that eagerly awaiting fans will get their chance to play this MMORPG soon

    Sega’s dirt campaign

Talk about innovation in marketting!Sega UK’s marketing department has come up with their own new way of  advertising, having named it ’street advertising campaign’ for the update of AM3 classic, Sega Rally. Followers of the game are told to promote the game by donning their own dirty vehicle with its name and a slogan to match it, then emailing in a picture for the crowds to see. Fans who manage to take the best photo are being provided with their very own copy of Sega Rally, a PS3 and an extreme rally day experience, which, combined with the other two, would be the best thing to give any dedicated fan.Sega Rally blogs have been given a makeover to match this interesting bit of news, for vehicle designer Keith Burden posts regularly on the process of constructing the cars for the game, and new entries of the contestants wanting a chance to win the delicious prizes. Setting aside the competition, the game itself is worth checking out, with detailed mud physics combined with soem of the older tactics of racing in arcades, which results in time well spent if you are a race title fan.

    Cheats:Bioshock (PC)

: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the “defuser.ini” file in the game directory. Set a key binding to the following codes (for example, “F10=fly”. Then, press the corresponding key while playing the game to activate the corresponding cheat function. Note: Any active codes are disabled when a new area loads or intermission sequence plays.

    Result

    Cheat Code

    God mode god

    Disable clipping ghost

    Flight mode fly

Disable “fly” and “ghost” codes walk

    Teleport to pointer teleport

    Alternate endings

There are two different endings in the game, depending on how the Little Sisters were treated. If more than one Little Sister was harvested, the “bad” ending will play. If no more than one Little Sister was harvested, but the rest were rescued, the “good” ending will play.

    Restoring hacked robot’s health

After hacking a robot, it will begin firing at your enemies. If the robot gets hit, it will begin to lose health, catch on fire, and eventually blow up. To stop this from happening, deactivate the robot, then reactivate it a few seconds later. This should make the robot have full health again.

Hitting the jackpot at slot machine

Save the game before you start playing the slot machine. Then, keep reloading your saved game until you hit the jackpot.

    Easy money

Use the Incinerate Plasmid on any slot machine to corrupt the machine. You will usually always win money when you use the burnt out machine.

    Save game recommendations

Save the game before fighting a Big Daddy or other difficult enemies. If you do not like the results (used too much health, wasted too much ammunition, etc.), you can simply reload your saved game and try again until you are satisfied.

After becoming a Big Daddy, create a new saved game. At this point, you will be close to the end of the game. If you missed something, you can go to the Bathysphere and explore Rapture again; you are also a Big Daddy now so the Splicers will not harm you, security cameras will not set off alarms, etc.

    Weapon Upgrade Station locations

1: In Peach Wilkins’ hideout (Neptune’s Bounty), bottom floor. As soon as you come downstairs, it is directly in front of you.

2: On the way to Farmer’s Market in Arcadia, the station is located to the left after you go up the first stairs coming from Tree Farm.

3: Go to Winery’s basement in Farmer’s Market. There is a flooded area with one of them attached to the wall. It is in front of you when you come down the stairs; just keep going forward.

4: In Fort Frolic, from the Atrium bottom floor, go towards the bathrooms. Then, move right and follow the path until you see some small stairs to your right leading up to a door. Go inside, then go down into the basement. The basement is filled with cigars and other stuff. The upgrade station is on the wall.

5: Go to Poseidon Plaza in Fort Frolic. Go to the other end of the bottom floor (the opposite end of where you enter). Go into Sinclair Spirits (the room that has a corpse on a sort of “altar”). In the basement of this store is the station.

6: In Hephaestus Core Room, go down to the bottom floor, and run around (literary). Eventually you will see it attached to the wall.

7: In Hephaestus, Kyburz’s office. It is attached to the left wall (back turned to the entrance) in the rear of the room.

8: At the bottom floor of the Mercury Suites area, on the back of the center pillar.

9: In Sander Cohen’s secret room, in the Olympus Heights’ Mercury Suites area.

10: Go to Atlas’ Headquarters in Apollo Square (Fontaine’s Home For The Poor area). It is located on the fourth floor. Go down the stairs in the room and look to the right. The station will be in front of you.

11: When you enter Point Prometheus and chase Fontaine, eventually you will end up in a little square, and Fontaine will go behind a locked Museum door. At the opposite end of this square (from where you came) is a dead Big Daddy. Next to it is the upgrade.

12: In the Voice changing labs in Point Prometheus, one of the labs has it.

    Easy kills

When you start, you will have the Wrench and the Electric Bolt Plasmid. Using these in rapid succession against most Splicers can often result in an efficient, quick kill. First, shock the Splicer. Before the convulsion ends, switch to the wrench, aim high, and hit the Splicer over the head. An efficient way of killing the Spider Splicers is to shoot a few clips of anti-personnel ammunition, preferably from the machine gun.

    Finding Chompers’ Dental key

The key to Chompers’ Dental in the Medical Pavilion is acquired by using Telekinesis through the broken window to the left of the door. There should be a corpse hanging over the broken window. The key should be grabbed with Telekinesis because it is hanging on a wall on the other side of the window. You can get Telekinesis in an area near here. You will need to get that first, but do not follow the arrow back to the rubble that you need to get rid of until you explore Chompers’ Dental. There is a safe and other good items inside. Note: Both Telekinesis and Chompers’ Dental are near where you find the shotgun.

    Reaching Atlas Fontaine’s penthouse

The code to get to Atlas Fontaine’s penthouse is “5744″, which is in an Audio Diary.

    Defeating Atlas Fontaine

Atlas Fontaine, the the final Boss, has three different styles of attacks: Flame Plasmid, Ice Plasmid, and Electric Plasmid Form. An easy way to defeat him in the first part is to use your Ice Plasmid and freeze him. Then, switch to your Telekinesis Plasmid. Grab an explosive tank, and throw it at him. Also, if desired, just use your telekinesis. He is very predictable if you are far away from him. Wait for him to throw a fire ball at you, then move out of the way. He will continue to run past you. Use this chance to fire the machine gun, which does the most damage to him. Once he goes back to his chamber to gain his life back, change to the Flame Plasmid, and get ready for some bots. Once he starts his routine of fire and run, shoot him with the Flame Plasmid as many times as possible. Continue to use the machine gun while he is aflame. He will now go back to his chamber one last time. He will now have electrical powers. Keep your Flame Plasmid ready. Shoot him with the Flame Plasmid, and he will run for the water. Once he jumps in the water and comes back out, hit him with it again. Be aware that there are Splicers all over as well; set them ablaze to get some extra life. There are many different ways to defeat him, but this is an easier way.

An easy way to defeat Atlas Fontaine is to make sure that you have the fully upgraded shotgun and the Decoy ability. After you drain his Adam, drop a decoy and while Atlas is attacking it, use the shot gun. After you have used all four rounds immediately cast Decoy again, reload your shotgun, then begin shooting him again. Repeat this until you have to drain his Adam. Once again, reload your shotgun and Plasmids before you drain his Adam. Then, start over using Decoy and the shotgun. Use health packs as needed and ignore any Splicers in the area, as they will be paying attention to your Decoy just like Atlas.

    Defeating Big Daddies

When fighting a Big Daddy, use armor piercing rounds from the machine gun or pistol. For a more effective way of killing, launch frag grenades and run out a door. The Big Daddy will follow you. Fire proximity mines at the door, and when it walks through it will be damaged or destroyed.

Once you have obtained the crossbow and at least five Trap Bolts, it is easy to kill a Big Daddy. Face a wall and stand about three feet away. Make sure it is not something that the bolts can bounce off of, and you have at least a ten foot long straight wall. Once you are better skilled at this technique, you can try for shorter lengths if desired. Point straight ahead and fire a bolt. Take about two steps to the left or right, depending on your location and which way the Bid Daddy is facing, and fire another. Once you fire all five bolts, shoot the Big Daddy once with anything. If done correctly, it will run through the line of traps, taking enough of his health away so he can be killed with just a few more shots. Note: This may not work in an open area because Big Daddies strafe frequently. If you have the damage increase for the crossbow, it will only take three or four bolts to kill him. Do not crouch while setting up the traps. If the Big Daddy walks another way and gets out of sight, you may need to go back to get him. If you do get him, you can crouch under the set traps. An easy way to trigger bolt traps is to pick up something with Telekinesis and drag the object through it.

    Defeating Frank Fontaine

To defeat Frank Fontaine very fast, when you first enter the room, hit him with the tool the Little Sisters gave you. Fight him when he throws you off. Once he is back on the bed, run up and hit him again with the tool to drain his Adam. This works a lot faster due to him only having four or five jars of Adam to drain, and the fights are not very long afterwards.

    Defeating Peach Wilkins

Once the dark cloud envelopes the icy battlefield upon which you must face Peach Wilkins, save the game, and locate the hostile turret at the end of the room when the cloud clears. Load the game, and run to it before the cloud clears, so that you can quickly freeze or shock it. Then, hack it so it shoots your enemies. Crouch down by the area to your right when facing the turret. There are a few barriers here to protect you from enemy fire. However, to avoid damage by Wilkins’ grenades, keep Telekinesis as your active Plasmid. He will avoid the turret’s fire, but as long as you stay behind the barriers by the turret he will stay at a safe distance. This gives you time to calmly return his grenades using Telekinesis until he dies. The turret will take out most of the Splicers. This method makes things much easier because it eliminates the hectic “run around and hit enemies with the wrench” strategy that is otherwise your only option. If the turret is not used as an ally, it can easily become a problem, along with the bots triggered by the security camera. By hiding near the allied turret however, you also hide from the camera’s view.

    Defeating security robots

If you are up against a stationary security robot (RPG, etc.), use Telekenesis to grab a crate or pallet. Hold it in front of you until you can find a place to hide and know what to do next. The item you hold up will block some attacks.

    Pac-Man reference

In the Arcadia level, you will find a place that appears to be a bar. Search around a bit, and you will see a block of cheese, followed by holes. The cheese is cut like Pac-Man himself. There are holes next to it, none of which can be gun shots. If you shoot the floor with any weapon you have, the marks will not match.

    Review:You Are Empty(PC)

You Are Empty, a game by the Russians, depicting the Russians is one that appears good at first glance, but it takes only moments for the illusion to wear off. The game commences with a bizarre yet artistically depicted intro formed as a collage of stop motion videos and silhouettes depicting a soldier’s life in the post world war era of the Soviets. He’s off to work when he gets struck by a vehicle, only to wake up in what looks like a medical facility. He is attacked by patients in straightjackets and head clamps and nurses who have an acute resemblance to a Pamela Anderson zombie without makeup. Escaping from the hospital with a revolver which is found lying around along with a large spanner, he leaves the building only to be attached by a fireman with bloodshot eyes and an axe. Reaching an outer office building in this deserted medical campus he enters and office where he finds a note taking about a drug that was administered to the patients and this is where he is attacked by an old scientist wearing a gas mask. And this is how the game progresses, abstract videos that make no sense what so ever, throngs of brainless opponent clones launching themselves at the protagonist with no real purpose as he aimlessly trudges through level after level finding bits of paper supposedly revealing a story and meeting a couple of people sane enough to share intel with him. It doesn’t take long for someone to figure out the story which couldn’t have been more cliché. A Communist Russian empire in the early 50’s where a hospital’s denizens are subjected to a drug that makes them into superhuman soldiers, but of course something goes wrong (or had to) and before you know it, the hospital, then the whole town gets infested with the virus and Mr. Soldier here, the unintentional test subject has to get to the bottom of it before the virus activates in his blood stream, fighting off every Tom Dick and Harry that was playing their civic role in Soviet society before the catastrophe. Despite being bland in every way, the game doesn’t fall short of its target variety ranging from middle aged skinny farmers wives and the toothless elderly with double barrel shotguns, Russian ballerinas and air borne assault units with dual propeller blades whirring in the air and above all giant featherless raptor-chicken hybrids being bred as an experiment by Soviet scientists. Nevertheless, the swarms of enemy clones are only visually different and at the most either hack at you or have a firearm with no intelligence whatsoever. Even the weapons though nothing outrageous are amusing to play with. The Communists have left behind the usual pistols, shotguns and submachine guns to play with, apart form the awe inspiring hydraulic nail-gun and Molotov cocktails (petrol in empty beer bottles with burning rags at the end). The games visuals are 2 years old and probably because the developers didn’t meet the expected deadline, hence the game should run smoothly with crispy visuals on older rigs. The aesthetics of the game suit the premise i.e. a USSR industrial colony filled with mutated people, dull and boring to the core. From the hospital to the industrial zones, there isn’t much to gorge at because the soviets back in their golden days didn’t really have spectacular towns for their blue collar workforce. There is exceptional detail in the environments with plenty of socialist propaganda, operatic scores of Russian opera played here and there and posters in their native language symbolically exhibiting Stalin and the hammer and sickle. The graphics are quite static in nature with no dynamic lighting and shadows, animated environments or visual ambience that would depict the feel of a zombie infested neighborhood. It does however have a basic physics engine with rolling barrels and destructible furniture, but nothing like Half Life-2 or Penumbra where physics was put to practical use rather than a visual gimmick. The sound too is limited to grunts and cackles with the occasional voice over for some of the NPC’s. Music score isn’t too bad yet not worth mentioning either. A final verdict: You Are Empty is truly worth no more than the cost of a pirated PC DVD. A pastime when there is no good game to play all over and nothing better to do. It is uninteresting and brain dead in every aspect considering the standards set by some first person shooters with no real premise or purpose of existence unless if one considers the half baked story it claims to have.
