Ever since it was officially announced last year, gamers have been driven to call itValve Softwares The Orange Box the best bargain in all of gamings history. While the statement can be debated upon, it cannot be denied that this particular game is one of the must-haves of late 2007 releases, and not just that, it has to be one of the best ittles out there on Xbox 360 to date. The classic Half-Life elements have been regenerated and used to create a highly entertaining and equally innovative reminiscence of the game, hence reelingi n old fans as well as new. Although there are a few issues to be dealt with in the game, it is just as enjoyable as all the other Half-Life titles have been. It comprises of single-player action, offering the player a solid limit of 8-10 hours of gameplay. The player is also going to be geting the chance to play the previoulsy released Half-life 2 Episode one, and the newly released Half-life 2 Episode 2, which is the icing on top, proving itself to be the best bit about the Orange Box. It also introduces Portal, which is a mind-bending title blending pureĀ first-person action with puzzle-solving, along with Team Fortress 2 which was one of the top games to bring multiplayer action to the masses, and which as been previously previewed.

preview: Dead Space
For all those out there following EA titles, heres one genre you wouldnt expect EA to be seen making games for; survival horror. Dead Space is said to be developed in secrecy for a year and a half with a total of 15-18 programmers, who have been at it full on, trying to figure out what makes a game fit the wide genre of “horror”. Given that level of concentration, the game is set to be one of the best titles, comingo ut in late 2008. The visuals so far seem sharp and detailed, given that there is still an year for the game to actually come out, which will give EA plenty of time to work out the quirks of the game, as well as having ample time to add more scares to the already terrifying game for when it comeso ut on the PS3 and 360 even later on.It has the usual blood and gore found in other survival horror titles, but somehow seems bolder and looks promising to deliver ace psychological thrills for sure.
preview: Team Fortress 2
The sequal to Team Fortress has finally arrived, proving more eventful hours of bizarre gameplay. It has a winning approach which is both artistic and blazingly quick in its accessible albeit powerful gameplay. it has enough zing to even soften the hearts of those who have critisised the first of the two games. However, it still cant be labelled the best shooter out there and,for now, lacks bot support. Nevertheless, the game has enough factors to keep its followers interested, and has an inbuilt statistics system, into Steam, to help the player keep track of the game.So those who favoured the first game will definitly want to buy this one, as it provides a more thrilling experience then the first, and for new comers, the visuals themselves will reel them in. One major aspect is that Team Fortress 2 will get more maps, which is a relief because the game has been in development for years on end, and for a game to spend that much time in development, the end result can be nothing but kick-ass.
